Science Meets Society Film Night: A Beautiful Mind

08/20/2025 19:30 - 22:00 Lecture hall Leibniz-HKI and Leibniz-FLI, Building A1, 2nd floor

On August 20, 2025, we will have the next installment of the Science Meets Society Film Night:

We’ll be watching A Beautiful Mind, the 2001 American biographical drama about mathematician John Nash, whose groundbreaking work in game theory earned him the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. While his academic achievements were remarkable, the film also follows his deeply personal journey through schizophrenia — a powerful story of resilience, complexity, and self-discovery.

Our movie night is more than just a screening, it’s a starting point for creating more awareness around neurodivergence and open up space for positive, honest conversations.
