Science Meets Society Roundtable - The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race

We are happy to announce our next installment of Science Meets Society, a place to discuss topics of ethics, equity and inclusion in science, and the role that our work plays in society.

We will keep the topic of female Nobel laureates and discuss the biography “The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race” by Walter Isaacson. Doudna is an American biochemist who did pioneering work on the CRISPR genome editing. She won the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry together with Emmanuelle Charpentier.
