5th Alumni Meeting of JSMC and ILRS

On June 27, the 5th Alumni Meeting of the Jena School for Microbial Communication (JSMC) and the International Leibniz Research School (ILRS) brought together former and current doctoral researchers for an inspiring and lively exchange.
Held in the Dorothy Hodgkin Seminar Room at the Leibniz-HKI, the event was a full success, fostering connections across disciplines and career stages.
Career Paths from Research to Industry and Public Service
In a series of short talks, seven alumni shared insights into their professional journeys, offering a diverse picture of postdoctoral life in academia, industry, and the public sector:

- Dr. Dennis Görlich, Research Associate, University of Münster
- Dr. Felix Mingo, Medical Communications Manager, Novocure
- Dr. Sara Mohebbi, Regulatory Affairs Manager, EuroChem
- Dr. Flora Rivieccio, Verification and Validation Specialist, KLS Martin
- Dr. Maja Rischer, Marketing and Account Manager, microfluidic ChipShop
- Dr. Jan Schwitalla, Biotechnologist, Richter Biologics
A small panel discussion followed, offering space for discussions. To round off the evening, participants enjoyed a relaxed summer BBQ, providing the perfect atmosphere for continued conversations, networking, and reconnecting with old colleagues.
