Prof. Christian Eggeling receives Best Supervisor Award from the Jena School for Microbial Communication
We are delighted to congratulate Prof. Christian Eggeling, Principal Investigator at the Cluster of Excellence "Balance of the Microverse" on receiving the Best Supervisor Award from the Jena School for Microbial Communication (JSMC).
The award recognizes his exceptional dedication to mentoring and inspiring young scientists. For Prof. Eggeling, working with early-career researchers is a driving force behind his scientific passion:
“My curiosity is mainly fueled by working with young scientists who are eager to learn and investigate new things. Motivating them is the most fun I have as a scientist. Often I just let them explore, even if it wasn’t my primary goal with them. But it usually gets us somewhere.”
The award was presented by Simranpreet Kaur during the closing event of the JSMC Summer School. We thank the JSMC team for organizing a truly inspiring event.
