A Festive Celebration to End the Year
On December 11th, the Microverse community came together for a joyful Christmas celebration at the Kulturbahnhof Jena. The evening was marked by festive cheer, exciting activities, and the recognition of outstanding achievements within our community.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of the Microverse Awards, honoring excellence in science and communication:
- The Microverse Early Career Award was presented to Kerstin Unger for her remarkable contributions to her field.
- The Microverse Science Communication Award was shared between two exceptional recipients:
- The MiCom Team for organizing the highly successful Science Slam, which brought science to life in an engaging and accessible format.
- Sophie Neumann, who impressed with her dedication to science outreach, particularly through her activities during Jena's Long Night of Sciences.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Science Pub Quiz, hosted by the JSMC, was a highlight of the evening. Special thanks goes to Marcel Bäcker, whose energetic and entertaining moderation made the quiz a memorable experience for everyone.
Thank you to all who attended and contributed to making this celebration such a success. It was a wonderful way to reflect on a productive year and strengthen our community spirit as we look ahead to 2025!
